Highly reputable, stable, lumber company, providing marine products, concrete forming, and building material, is seeking a full-time sales assistant to research and qualify leads, maximize customer acquisition, and provide ongoing customer support and solutions.

We have been in business for over fifty (50) years, and we pride ourselves on building relationships, listening to our customers, and providing them with quality products. Our ideal candidate will have the proven ability to effectively service customers, while maximizing sales objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

Participate in lead generation strategies to identify business prospects, create a list of customers, and cold call potential clients to boost sales.

Utilize designated resources to contact customers and gauge their interest in obtaining products or services offered by PAP.

Analyze each individual and make product recommendations based on a need or problem to be solved.

Proactively follow up with customers for feedback, mediate conflict in the event of a disgruntled customer, and provide a solution that will maintain business, reestablish credibility, and ultimately benefit the customer as well.

Maintain a log of which customers that have been contacted, including the outcome of each interaction and any issues that need to be flagged and/or followed up on.

Develop ideas for pitch modification to successfully advertise products.

Encourage team members to be productive, friendly, professional, and integrity-driven by maintaining a positive demeanor and objective approach to customer conflict.

Uphold standards of self-motivation, time management and productivity, and maintain a workspace that is clean, organized, and professional.

Essential Job Requirements

Two (2) year Degree or commensurate experience.

Knowledge of marine construction, piles and lumber preferred.

Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $22.10 per hour

• 8 hour shift
